Hydro Shock Absorbers

Hydro shocks work best on your daily driver.  They provide a smoother ride than your OEM shocks, and also work well if you plan to hit the trails every once in awhile.  Think of these as an upgrade to your OEM shocks.  Hydro shocks are filled with oil, offer a more comfortable ride, and help to prevent you from rolling on corners.  Hydro shocks also tend to be a little less expensive than nitro shocks, so if you are on a budget hydro shocks are probably the shocks for you.

If you are looking to punish your shocks with constant off road adventure then you will probably want the high quality performance of a nitro shock.  Nitro shocks serve the same function as a hydro shock but with one major difference.  Nitro shocks are filled with pressurized nitrogen gas.  This makes nitro shocks performance levels much higher than hydro shocks.  This increase in performance does come at a cost though, your ride won't be nearly as smooth, as with a hydro shock, due to this pressurized nitrogen.
